(Dynamic) control of 2D magnetism: multi-responsivity in LMMs

WP2 aims to employ different molecules to provide LMMs with a dynamic response to external stimuli. Photo-responsive molecules (schematically shown as green ovals/purple circles) will provide make it possible to switch the LMM magnetism through light irradiation. Other effects to be investigated here include the tuning of LMM using electric fields and pressure.

The goals are:

  • Ferroelectric modification of FGT.
  • Photo-tunable magnetism in FGT/molecule interfaces.
  • Tunable Exchange bias at FGT/molecule interfaces.
